Mushroom Monday!
Every monday, for the most part, I post a photo of a mushroom on my IG @knottynaughtynatty followed by a quote, some information about the mushroom (hi, I’m a mycophile 🤤) and/or thoughts that are currently flowing. So, without any further blah blahs, here is my #mushroommonday post for today!
Found this magical bolete on the side of a country road. I slammed on my breaks, jumped out of the car and layed on my tummy to get the best view of this giant (fear not, this road is hardly ever used). Standing at almost a foot tall with a bagel like cap, I found myself in complete love and albeit a little hungry for a bagel. Boletes typically grow like weeds this time of year but because of our lack of annual rainfall, it’s been pretty rare to encounter them. Nonetheless this bolete braved the texas heat and will go on to spore it up 🍄
